A message from the organiser ...

I have been involved with sport through running clubs since my school days (many years ago!). I've been lucky enough to represent GB at the World Duathlon Championships during the last ten years.

Twelve years ago, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, which means I have to inject Insulin up to eight times a day - depending on my activity. In December 2005, I was told I had Prostate Cancer.

My aim is to raise as much money as possible and to raise the awareness of these two diseases.

Both these diseases are having a devastating effect; in excess of 2 million people have diabetes in the UK, and 30,000 men are diagnoses with prostate cancer ever year; 10,000 will die.

I hope you will help us!

Thank You,

Tony Curry, Event Organiser
